Multilanguage Interface

hitAppoint can appear in your native language. We strive to maintain up-to-date language versions for all major languages which are built-in in hitAppoint standard version.
Currently supported languages:
French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Chinese (Taiwan), Russian, Polish, Bulgarian, Swedish, Slovenian, Croatian.
To switch hitAppoint to your local language, simply go to Settings -> Languages, choose your language under the Available Languages tab, then click Activate.
If your language is not in the list, you can translate the language file yourself.

- inside the zip file you will find 2 XML files:
- interface.xml – for user interface
- emails.xml – for default email notifications

Open the unzipped XML file in a text editor like Notepad, or similar.

Enter your translations between the <translate></translate> tags (default English text is already there, replace it with your language). DO NOT change the text between <original></original> tags!

If you need to use HTML code in the text strings, no problem, use it as needed, then replace the < with [, and > with ]. For example, some text becomes [b]some text[/b]. Please make sure that you do this otherwise the language file will not work.

Once you are done translating (this may take from 1 to 3 hours), create a new subfolder inside extensions/languages according to the language, fr, es, de, etc., and place your translated interface.xml and emails.xml there.

Your language will appear in the Available Languages list, choose it to activate.
