Re: Cron job for reminders

I too would like some clarificationon this.  I have set up the cron correctly, but it doesn't seem to be pulling information.

How often and when should the cron run?  I have it set for every hour right now.  I tested another file with this cron job and it worked.  I'm not sure how it decides who it has mailed or who to mail, so I am a bit lost.

Re: Cron job for reminders

PLEASE - this is very important.  How can we tell if the cron is running properly?  Can you add a diagnositc cron that will simulate the cron running but only send the emails to admin??

The answer to the above question is found at:

Another Tip: We noticed in our Single Staff version 2.4.2 that we have to type out our web address in the email reminders, as the {SITE_URL} tag is not accesable there.  Using such tag renders the cron file:  "yoursite.com/cron.php"
