Could you allow staff and users to set a personal preference for the number of listed items to display on pages which display lists? Perhaps a Check-box on the pages, or an option under My Preferences would work.
We prefer to see our entire Client List each time we click the "Clients" link, and other related links which show the Client List. Most of these pages have no way to remember that we have also clicked on the "50" or the "All" view links. Therefore, we are constantly having to click the "All" view link to get back to the entire list view.
Likewise, it would be handy to have the sort order of such lists preset to the Column Header which was last used or selected as a default in some similar way.
