With the use of PayPal, applicable HitAppoint Services could be pre sold as Gift Certificates, using non-sequential, preauthorize Gift Certificate Numbers. These one-time-use Certificate Numbers could be rendered graphically and printed by the client to give as gifts, or the numbers could simply be presented at the time of the service rendered. In any case, the Certificate Numbers would need to be well managed by HitAppoint, tracking the purchaser, the date of purchase, the amount paid, etc.
The data which prints on the Gift Certificate would need to be customizable, similar to that of the email templates which HitAppoint sends. However, printing Gift Certificates would seem to work best by printing them from the Web Browser rather than from Email. Perhaps using a pop-up window which displays the background image of the Gift Certificate would be a good idea offering printing controls.
Because gift certificates are not usually redeemed by the those who purchased them, any method to avoid the temptation of fraud would seem worthy to consider for the application. Many applications such as airline tickets etc. simply use a number system and then validate the certificate upon use.
Thank you again for such a cool program!
