User Account Integration

Greetings,

*** NOTE: Your forum posting software prevented me from including a URL in my message even though your BBCodes specifically indicate support for this ***

This software looks quite intriguing and I'm hoping to buy it sometime soon. We use a product called "Photo Cart" (see picturespro.com at your convenience) and I would like to integrate the user accounts. However, it is not clear to me yet whether a client will register first when setting up an appointment in hitappoint or first when they order prints in Photo Cart. For example, if their appointment comes from outside our site, then they may be a Photo Cart registered client before ever booking an appointment in hitappoint. But... sometimes they might come to the site, book an appointment (registering first in hitappoint) and then want to look at their photos later.

Any thoughts or ideas on how to do a two-way registered user integration?

Thanks in advance!

Re: User Account Integration

Hello,
thank you for your interest. We had a similar project integrating hitAppoint with a gallery management software - 4images - http://www.4homepages.de/

We managed to achive the "one login point" integration - once a user logs in either with hitAppoint login form or with 4images', it is now considered as a logged in user for both applications. Seems it is the option that you are asking for. This integration is now done as a plugin option for hitAppoint.

As with picturespro.com at first sight it seems possible although some work and testing is required. As this software is commercial, would it be possible for us to get a copy for temporary testing, or create a temporary FTP account at your server to install our software and try to integrate it with the Photo Cart software?

Sorry for not allowing to post URLs, we choose to disable it as it used to generate plenty of spam posts.

Re: User Account Integration

I will check with the Photo Cart author and see if we can work with him on the project. Rather than doing it as a one-off for just us, maybe he will work with you and the two of you can promote that to other clients...
