Automatically e-mail the schedule

Is there a script available that I can run as a Cron job that will e-mail me the next week's schedule?

I'm concerned that I won't have access to my schedule when my 'Net connection goes down. I would love to have all my upcoming appointments available locally and up to date within the hour when that happens.

Re: Automatically e-mail the schedule

Hello,
this is a nice suggestion. I will add this to the next update, I hope it will come within a couple of weeks.

Re: Automatically e-mail the schedule

Hi Algis

I just realized that there is a way already in place to accomplish nearly the same thing, at least for my purposes. So this issue is not urgent for me at all.

I realized that I could put the date and time of the appt in the subject of the e-mail sent to "staff member" when an appt is accepted. I use a separate e-mail acct for this. Then I can just use the e-mail reader to sort them by appt date. This method will be even more up to date than the Cron solution. Only problem would be that appts that are subsequently canceled would still be included.

Re: Automatically e-mail the schedule

Sorry...hope I didn't cause too much extra work. But I would still use the originally requested modification....

Particularly because the date tag is not formatted in a way that I can sort the individual e-mails by date. Is there any way to change the formatting in the tag to YYYY/MM/DD instead of M/D/YYYY?

Thanks.

Re: Automatically e-mail the schedule

Hmm. I'll have to think about that one. If all the dates everywhere change, I may confuse all my users terribly.

Re: Automatically e-mail the schedule

My client is interested in this feature as well.  She uses her PDA to check her email and would prefer to see the schedule instead of all the added appointments.  She would rather let the program keep track and send her a report and not have to remember independently.
