Pre-sales questions: unusual appointments (?)

Can Hitappont be used to independently manage several appointment schedules?

I have a few booking schedules I would like to use Hitappoint for:

1) Scheduling mechanical service. This is done on a one-day turnaround so work is not schedule for a specific time, just for the day. Each day can be filled to a maximum of $300 dollars or 6 hours (we currently use dollars but it doesn't really matter). Can we do this in Hitappoint?

2) Scheduling fitting appointments. More conventional, but can I specify which staff can be booked for different types of services (i.e. some can do all, others can only do some)?

3) Scheduling rental items. These may be rented my the day or multi-day period. Can Hitappoint handle this? We have 80-100 sized rental items.

Also, is adding custom fields to the booking user configurable or does it require customizing by the author?

yes, it can be managed. You can set the working time from 10:00 to 18:00, and set a service of 8 hours duration, so that one appointment will mean the day. Then, you can configure the setting to allow several appointments at a time, for example 3. For as long as there are less than 3 appointments for this day, it will be shown as available. After the 3rd appointment the day will be fully booked.

yes, hitAppoint is naturally designed to handle this. You can freely assign any staff to any service.

I'm afraid hitAppoint is not the best option with multi-day renting, it is designed primarily for appointments of services within a working day. No, I can't recommend hitAppoint for the task.

What if some services have different durations (i.e. we can do six tune-ups in a day but only three overhauls)?

thats ok, you can limit the total duration of appointments per day, so if you set it to 6 hours, you can have up to 6 tune-ups of 1 hour, or 3 overhauls of 2 hours. Please have a look at this option in the demo here:

Click the Admin, then go to

Company >> Staff Members >> Choose james for example

Then click Edit Week Working Hours at the right >> Check Limit Total Appointments Duration >> Choose max duration

Algis,

I have experimented with the demo and I think it will work for most of my needs. The only thing I have not resolved is being able to schedule appointments of different durations on one day with no fixed appointment time and with a maximum number of hours available per day.

I want to know how the "Selectable Time Unit" setting works. It seems to be disabled in the demo, but if it could be set to 600 minutes (10 hours) and my working day was 10am-8pm (10 hours) would it only allow appointments to be booked at 10am each day?

Last, is it possible to have two independent Hitappoint systems running on the same website? I have two categories of appointments but I want users to reach the booking systems from different pages of my website. Also, I want one to have a 600 minute Selectable Time Unit and the other to have a 60 minute Selectable Time Unit.

Hello Dan,
I've set a demo for you, I've sent an email to you with the link and admin username

so, what have I configured:

1. for demo purposes, I configure this for just one day, Wednesday

2. for the service, I made it available throughout the day, from 12.00 to 12.00. It is not a problem as later the exact available day will be specified by the staff hours.

3. edit the staff hours to be available from 10.00am to 08.00pm

4. set "Limit Total Number Of Appointments" to 2, for example thus allowing to have 2 of appointments for this day.

5. edit the service to allow simultaneous appointments - set the "Total Seats" to some value that is greater than the "Limit Total Number Of Appointments" of the staff, for example to 4.

6. set the "Selectable time unit" to 10 hours so that the only possible time will be 10.00 am

This setup will allow you to have up to 2 appointments per day of various durations (but for the one service). Techinically, they will be scheduled to 10.00 am all.

yes sure, it is not a problem, you can easily install in independent folders. As soon it is under one domain name, we do not require additional licences.
