Custom Fields

hitAppoint gives you an option to add any number of custom fields for your customer records according to your business needs, like customer food preferences, height, hair length, just anything you need.

To access this option, go to Forms >> Customers:

You will see the list of currently active fields. By clicking Up and Down links you can change the order the fields appear in the form.

To add a new one, click the Create New Field link:

In the new field form you will need to provide a little information about your new field. System Name is the name in your database, something like hair_length, Descriptive Title is the label for the field visible to you and your customers, for example Hair Length. Customer Access defines if your customers will be able to update, or just view, or not view the field at all. For example, if you need to keep some internal notes on customers, you can set Customer Access to Hidden.

Also you can provide various means of input validation for your new field. For example, make it required, or allow numbers only, etc.
