hitAppoint allows you to send email reminders to your customers about their appointments. Please note though that this feature requires some some initial setup and configuration.
For the reminders feature to work, you will need to set up a cron job. Cron job is a process that runs periodically on your web site.
If your website doesn’t support cron jobs, a good alternative may be using one of the free web based cron services. I’ve searched Google for “web cron” and quickly found several options like www.setcronjob.com and www.mywebcron.com. For example, the free account of setcronjob.com running cron jobs every hour will work perfectly for you. You will need to set it up to pull the following URL every hour:
http://www.yoursite.com/hitappoint/reminder.php
please change the http://www.yoursite.com/hitappoint/ to the URL where you installed the software
